About two months ago teamed up with this down ass chick that goes by the name of LADY B! took a stroll down the streets of INDIO BLVD. 
THE LADY B PROJECT | INDIO, CA | INDIO BLVD
I met this girl through a mutual friend (the great isha takomaki). We were brought together to do a shoot for a tattoo shop, but those plans fell through. We had already talked via facebook about what we wanted to do for the tattoo shoot and when that wasn't going to happen we just said FUCK IT! We had a similar vibe and understanding for our work that it just seemed right to do something together. I have seen this place and known of this place forever since I pass it everyday on my way to school. INDIO BLVD more famously known for the illegal underground "secrecy" of prostitution. The thing that most intrigued me about this place is the old school vintage motels and all of their lit up motel signs. I was a little reluctant at first just by knowing what goes on there. Lady B said she was down so we set it up. It was supposed to be a story. When we got to the area we realized it wasnt going to be so easy lol.
I had never met this chick so as always you have that little feeling (hmm how are we going to get along) immediately this girl pulls up giddy and ready to shoot. I immediately knew we were going to capture some good stuff. We drove up to the main bridge to get some sunset shots as she goes into the night and gets ready for the night. Everyone is driving home around this time and were just shooting laughing not a care in the world as cars are driving by honking and screaming. Little did we know that was gonna be the least of our worries. As we got into the night and walked around the motels one by one we were getting kicked off the property. I had a feeling this was going to happen so we hurried and got our shots until we got kicked off the property and just hoped for the best. It was for sure a great experience , adrenaline pumping. We didn't get all that we wanted to get, but it was definitely one of my more memorable shoots (lol)
When shooting in moments like this just remember shoot shoot shoot. The more the better. There is bound to be a few good shots in there. This for sure wont be the last you will be seeing of LADY B! and I.
