Thursday November, 21st 2013 I shot my first Art based event. The event was for Russian Artist Elena Bulatova Celebrating the opening of her Fine Art Gallery in my home town of Palm Springs, ca. There was also a ribbon-cutting with the Mayor Steve Pougnet. Unlike other events I have shot this was one of my favorites for many reasons. The amount of great art on the walls was a delight and a great over all vibe for the opening. Look forward to having more shoots including great art.

Elena Bulatova Fine Art features original mixed media paintings on canvas in Bulatova's distinctive abstract expressionism style, along with remarkable carved paintings on panel and bronze sculptures by Delos Van Earl, the abstract paintings of Larry Weitz, and unique “Screw Art” by Efraim Mashiah. Additional artists will be featured in monthly exhibitions beginning in January 2014.
Bulatova, originally from Alexandrov Russia, is an international artist residing in Palm Springs with forays into Miami Beach during Art Basel, and to other locations for exhibitions. A talented artist who is known locally for creating her widely-collected paintings at the Backstreet Art District, Bulatova now exhibits full time at Elena Bulatova Fine Art. Her works are owned by private collectors in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and Russia.
“I am extremely proud to be the latest addition to the burgeoning art scene in the Coachella Valley,” exclaimed Bulatova. “It is exciting to represent Delos Van Earl whose sculptures, ‘Red Jungle’ at Ramon Road and Warm Sands, and ‘Red Rooster’ on El Paseo, are well known public installations. I am honored to display his monumental work, ‘Red Hawk,’ at the gallery entrance.”
A reception to celebrate the opening of Elena Bulatova Fine Art will be held from 5:30pm – 8:30 pm on Friday, December 13.
Elena Bulatova Fine Art is open 10am – 9pm Friday through Wednesday, 10am – 10pm on Thursday, and by appointment. The gallery is also available for group events. To learn more about Elena Bulatova Fine Art, please call 760-600-0417 or visit elenabulatova.com.
